You Asked for a Lower Price for Cocktails & Conversation, We Listened
|
Cocktails and Conversation, the holiday party of the DC chapter of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists association is just a few days away. Did you know that the chapter is entirely self-sustaining and this its only fundraiser of the year? Your attendance helps keep the chapter running. We heard from folks that the price was a bit high, especially in these times of tight budgets. We have lowered the price to just just $30 for paid members of NLGJA. That’s a $10 reduction.
Don’t worry, if you already paid and want us to refund the difference, we’ll be glad to do so. Just respond to this email. Founded in 1990, NLGJA is an organization of journalists, media professionals, educators and students working from within the news industry to foster fair and accurate coverage of LGBT issues. NLGJA opposes all forms of workplace bias and provides professional development to its members. The DC chapter is among the largest and it’s vital that we continue NLJGA’s mission in the nation’s capital. This year’s party will be in the Langston Room at Busboys & Poets at 14th and V Streets NW. The night will also feature the return of our popular silent auction including JetBlue tickets and a chance to bid on hotel stays. Come celebrate the holidays with Washington area journalists, communications and public relations officials. |
